- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.

Eva Freisinger is Associate Professor of Bioinorganic Chemistry and Chemical Biology at the Department of Chemistry, University of Zurich (appointed in 2018). She earned her PhD in 2000 from the University of Dortmund, Germany, under the supervision of Bernhard Lippert, followed by a three-year postdoctoral stay with Caroline Kisker at SUNY Stony Brook, USA. Since 2003, she has conducted independent research at the University of Zurich, where she held an SNSF-funded Förderungsprofessur from 2008 to 2014 and received her Habilitation in Bioinorganic Chemistry in 2014. Her research focuses on plant metallothioneins, with additional interests in the sequence-specific modification of nucleic acids. She co-chaired EuroBIC-12 (Zurich, 2014) and ICBIC-19 (Interlaken, 2019), both together with Roland Sigel.
