Partha Basu earned his PhD from Jadavpur University in India. He completed his postdoctoral training at the University of Arizona. He started his independent career as an assistant professor at Duquesne University. He became a full professor in 2010, an endowed Chair of Scholarly Excellence in 2015, and now the Chair of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at the Indiana University Indianapolis.
