PhD (2010), MSc (2006) and Bachelors (2004) degrees in Inorganic Chemistry at the Federal University of Santa Catarina - UFSC, Brazil. His research interests is primarily concentrate on Bioinorganic Chemistry. His PhD has been developed at the Bioinorganic and Crystallography Lab under supervision of the Prof. Dr. Ademir Neves, at UFSC. Granted with a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Wayne State University, Detroit-MI, USA, under supervision of Prof. Dr. Caudio N. Verani, acting on synthesis, characterization and photochemistry/photophysics studies of the multiheteronuclear complexes for Water Splitting. In 2012, Dr. Xavier has recieved a permanent faculty position at the Department of Chemistry, College of Technological Sciences, at the Santa Catarina State Universty (UDESC), Joinville, SC - Brazil. In 2016, he joined as faculty, to the Graduate School of Applied Chemistry working with metal complexes-DNA interactions, biological activity, and catalytic oxidation of organic compounds.
